Gas Grouper (named“Lubanhao” in Chinese), a 35,000 cubic meter ammonia vessel owned by MIC, has successfully completed its first berthing at Zhanjiang Port at 8:30am on November 1, 2022, loading the first ammonia cargo to Europe. The vessel can carry 23,000 tons of ammonia with a length overall of 174 meters and a beam of 28 meters. It will be mainly used for international long-distance voyages. The joining of Gas Grouper will greatly improve MIC's tank utilization and boost its annual ammonia throughput.
